Traveling is an exiting and relaxing
experience, and the very thought of taking a vacation can make
your heart beat faster. Travel can also be a tiring experience,
particularly for those who travel for business rather than
pleasure.
People use air travel for different reasons. Some are
conducting business transactions, some are visiting friends and
relatives, and others are embarking on a grand adventure.
Traveling to explore new places, take in new sceneries and meet
new people opens a new world of possibilities and recharges our
entire physical being.
In the past, travel was restricted to chariots, carriages and
beasts of burden like horses and camels. Boats and ships have
carried centuries of travelers along rivers, across lakes and
to foreign lands. The invention of the train brought about a
new way to travel quickly from coast to coast across entire
continents. Land transportation was revolutionized as
automobiles began to appear.
Above all other methods of transportation, air travel is
preferred by most. Traveling by air is easier and more
convenient than land and sea transportation. There is certainly
no faster way to get to your destination. It's possible to
arrive at a city one thousand miles away, while sitting and
relaxing for a couple of hours on an airplane. Without
question, air travel is the most expensive option. To most
travelers however, the benefits and convenience far outweighs
the added cost.
Most people have no problems traveling by air, but it is
important to follow certain safeguards to stay secure and
comfortable. Remember these air travel tips on your next
vacation:
* Keep an ample supply of all medications in your carry-on
luggage, and take extra amounts in case your return trip is
delayed. Be sure to carry medications in bottles with their
original labels. Ask your doctor whether you should alter your
dosage to accommodate changes to your eating and sleeping
times.
* If you have diabetes, epilepsy or any other conditions that
may require immediate medical attention, be sure to wear a
medical alert bracelet or carry an identification card. Keep
your doctor's name and phone number with you in case of
emergency. Remember to bring along the names and dosage amounts
of all medications.
* Should your doctor instruct you to take oxygen when you
travel on an airplane, tell the booking agent about your
requirement well in advance of your flight. The airline will
make arrangements and may provide the oxygen at no charge.
* The atmosphere in airplanes tends to be dry, and it is
possible to become dehydrated over lengthy flights. Avoid
alcoholic beverages and drink plenty of water.
* Healthy people can develop blood clots in their legs after
long trips by air. Try to get up and walk around every now and
then during the flight. Stretching your calf muscles, drinking
water and wearing support stockings can also help to alleviate
this problem.
* If the change in air pressure causes ear pain when you travel
by air, take a decongestant before you get on the plane. You can
also chew gum, and try swallowing often. Babies should be given
bottles or pacifiers to suck on during the flight.
* Drastic changes in pressure can be dangerous, and flying
immediately after scuba diving poses a serious hazard. After
diving, you must wait twelve to twenty-four hours before you
can safely fly. Ask your doctor or diving instructor for
guidelines about flying after scuba diving.
Air travel is a wonderful experience that opens us to great
adventures. With every method of travel, however, there are
risks involved. Be aware of the concerns, and take a few steps
to ensure a safe, happy trip. Enjoy your flight!

About The Author: Dorothy Williams writes for several web
sites, including http://new-recreation.com and http://nulaf.com

Charles F. Jenkins

The Alaskan cruise will take you into the wilderness, allowing
you to see some of the most beautiful landscapes and oceans out
there. The good news is that there are several cruise lines that
now offer these cruises and more and more people are falling in
love with what Alaska has to offer. To help you to get started
with your planning, here are some tips that you may need to get
you started.
· When can you actually travel to Alaska? Although winter time
is not the best time to travel, you can visit anytime you would
like to. The Alaskan cruises, though, usually run from May to
September when the waters are easily traveled.
· Which cruise line should I use? There are many cruise lines
that run through this line. It is your best bet to consider
which fits your budget as well as your specific entertainment
and travel goals. The Alaskan lines offer many wonderful
choices in entertainment and sight seeing even some of which
offer specific choices.
· When should I plan my vacation? It is best to start planning
early, in the off seasons. Many people make reservations for
their Alaskan cruise well in advance especially if you are
traveling in the summer months when space is limited. If you go
in May or in September, crowds are less likely yet you still
should plan ahead.
The Alaskan cruise offers many adventures. It is not just a
boat ride into the cold waters. You will find many enjoyable
things to do and to see in Alaska, all of which will allow you
to enjoy the things that interest you. When planning your
Alaskan cruise, make sure to check out several opportunities so
that you can find the best part for you. You can even do this on
the web.

About The Author: Visit
http://www.alaska-cruise-information.info and read more of
Lynette’s articles.

Earn An Instant $300 Per Sale
Earn 16% - 50% Investing In Tax Liens The Truth About Network Marketing

Top Ten Travel Destinations - Part I

Top Ten Travel Destinations - Part I

For the absolute lowest rates on airfare, hotels, and rental cars,
and cruises, click here to book your travel.

To become a certified "referring travel agent" and qualify for
special travel agent "fam rates" click here.

National Geographic magazine recently released a top ten list
of the best travel spots in the world. The list was based on
aesthetic appeal, cultural integrity, environmental conditions,
condition of historic structures and tourism management. Here is
the list they chose, along with some general information about
each and why you might want to consider the area for your next
travel vacation.

1) Norwegian Fjords: One of the great wonders of the world, the
tall peaks of Norway plunge down into watery canals that are one
of the trademarks of Norway. There is no other scenery like it
on earth, and combined with the Old World rustic appeal of the
country there is no better vacation destination. Tourists can
explore the region themselves and plan their own trip, which
can include every single activity you could imagine, from
fishing to hiking, sailing to sight-seeing. You could also take
advantage of one of the many travel agencies both local and
international who offer planned trips to this region, which
includes cruise options as well as land based opportunities.

2) Cape Breton Island, Canada: Cape Breton Island is in Eastern
Canada, just off the coast of Nova Scotia. The island offers a
unique blend of Gaelic, French, and English cultures. The area
is famous for its folk music and cheap, fresh seafood as well
as turn of the century style and beautiful scenery. Explore the
Island yourself or go through an established travel agency!

3) South Island, New Zealand: The South Island of New Zealand
offers highly diversified opportunities for the traditional and
eco-tourist alike. The Island encompasses a wide range of
ecosystems, from ocean to mountains and everything in between.
The landscape offers incredible diversity in vacation
opportunities, including kayaking, surfing, caving, and other
recreational activities. The Island is separated form the rest
of New Zealand by the spectacular Southern Alps, and the
isolation has allowed the culture to evolve in relative
isolation, bringing a unique blend into the modern day with the
right touch of polite hospitality.

4) Torres del Paine, Chile: Another unique blend of mountain
and coast, the Torres Del Paine offers a huge amount of
diversity to the traveler. The area includes several National
Parks, and tourists can have once-in-a-lifetime experiences in
watching the yearly migration of the humpback whale in the
oceans bordering the area. The are is devoted to tourism, and
there are several nationally developed services that specialize
in accommodating foreigners with maximum convenience and
comfort.

5) Tasmania, Australia: Another island vacation, the remote
province of Tasmania offers a incredibly and unique vacation
experience, which is really saying something when you consider
it is a part of one of the most uniquely biodiverse countries
in the world. Tasmania offers every type of tourist attraction
possible, and its ecological niche is even more specialized
than the Australian mainland. If you are on an extended travel
vacation, the province is only a short ferry ride away from the
rest of the country.

About The Author: Dexter Stoakley maintains a travel website.
Visit his site at: http://alltravelexperts.com

For the absolute lowest rates on airfare, hotels, and rental cars,
and cruises, click here to book your travel.

To become a certified "referring travel agent" and qualify for
special travel agent "fam rates" click here.

Cruises For Fun And Excitement

Cruises For Fun And Excitement

If you have never been on a cruise before, you are in for the
time of your life. There are cruises going anywhere and
everywhere that there is water.

Destinations are as exotic as the Caribbean, Alaska and Europe.
No driving. No packing and repacking from place to place. All
the food you care to eat. Gambling, dancing and all kinds of
night life. And best of all, no phones!

I am told it is a shopper’s paradise. I don’t know as I could
care less about shopping, but don’t tell my wife and daughters.
There are “discounts” and items you wouldn’t find at home.
Something for everyone.

I go for the adventure. Snorkeling, sightseeing and visiting
places that I have only dreamed about. It gives real images to
my thoughts of how I dare to escape the rat race.

You can plan for many months for such a vacation or you can go
at the last minute. Real savings are found in the last minute
deals. You should never, ever pay rack prices on a cruise.
Those prices are only for the uninitiated.

Once on board, you will have access to 24 hour free food
including international cuisine. There are three scheduled
meals a day and many opportunities to eat in between. I would
recommend everyone go to the scheduled dinner. It usually has a
different theme for each night of the cruise. The wait staff is
superb, they perform a show (based on the theme) for you and
you get to meet people from other parts of the world. Hint:
Dress up at night and don’t go too casual. That is part of the
experience.

When you aren’t eating, there is lounging by the pool soaking
up the sun and the suds. There are movies, shows and activities
for all ages. You can visit the spa, exercise, read a book at
the library or do anything else you want. It is your free time
after all!

Every cruise ship has ports of call where they dock for a
period of time. Once at port, you can go ashore and do whatever
you like or you can go on any number of planned excursions the
ship provides. You can even stay aboard and do nothing, but I
suggest you get out and see the world if you have never seen
that portion of God’s acre before.

From crystal blue water and their reefs of fish, to historic
places to mountains and icebergs, I have seen it all … You
should too.

About The Author: The author makes a substantial living in this
field and if you have found this article useful, then try
clicking on his specialist resource site,
http://www.cruiselinefinder.info . South
America’s darling and second largest nation (after Brazil) is
teeming with fantastic culture and biodiversity, ultra hip
cities like Buenos Aires and an unabated passion for fine wine,
scrumptious steak and an uncompromised quality of life.
Following a recent economic crisis, the country is just as
splendid a destination while leaving a far smaller hole in your
wallet.

Raise Your Glass, Your Consciousness and Your Elevation
Argentina’s central fertile plain of the Pampas is the main
agriculture hub and South America’s world renowned wine
producing region. Córdoba, Argentina’s second city, is the
heart of this region and full of universities, historic museums
and an extremely posh and youthful nightlife. Just southwest of
Córdoba is the wine capital of Mendoza. Come for the harvest
festivals at the end of February and stay to enjoy the warm
hospitality during a vineyard tour of the many bodegas in March
and April. Explore the surrounding rocky desert by hopping on a
horseback riding expedition or paddling down some whitewater
with a local guide.

Nestled against the Andes Mountain Range, the Mendoza region is
also home to South America’s tallest peak, Cerro Aconcagua, at
22,834 ft. Guided trekking expeditions to the top can be
arranged for those with appropriate expertise. Others may find
the trip to base camp exhilarating enough. The area is an
extremely popular Andes ski destination as well, including the
winter resorts of Las Leñas and San Carlos de Bariloche.
Global Heritage, National Treasure

The diversity of wildlife and terrain in Argentina is arguably
unmatched in South America. Península Valdés is a World
Heritage Site on the east coast of the Patagonian region with
more visible biodiversity than any other region in Argentina.
Sea lions, penguins, whales, armadillos, guanacos and gray
foxes all grace the shores with their regular presence at
certain times of the year. Enjoy the pristine quality of
surrounding Patagonia, quite possibly the cleanest place on
earth. Farther south, Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (Glacier
National Park) is literally an incredibly moving experience.
Strategically placed cat-walks and guided tours allow visitors
to see the remarkable sliding ice blocks from stable distances,
including the gargantuan Perito Moreno Glacier. This also might
be the closest you have ever found yourself to the South Pole!
Argentina’s unique north-south axis makes for a most dynamic
single-county travel opportunity. Jungles in the far north,
glaciers in the deep south, the Incan Andes to the West and
just about everything imaginable in between make up just a few
reasons why anyone must explore Argentina – not to mention the
wildly alive and electrifying epicenter that is the capital
city of Buenos Aires. Don’t forget that in the southern
hemisphere the seasons are reversed. January is extremely hot
in the north, with temperatures exceeding 110F in places. The
south is cold, still with the coldest months from May to
September.

About The Author: For more information on international travel
and discount airfare to Argentina, visit http://www.cfares.com,
your source for cheap airfare on the web.

For the absolute lowest rates on airfare, hotels, and rental cars, click here to book your travel.

To become a certified "referring travel agent" and qualify for special travel agent "fam rates" click here.

Top 5 Places To Stay In Los Angeles

Top 5 Places To Stay In Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a city that's difficult to navigate, especially
if you're a tourist. Most people live and play in the cities
around Los Angeles, not in downtown L.A. itself. Some of the
more famous locales surrounding Los Angeles are Beverly Hills
and West Hollywood and there are small beach communities
located up and down the coast, like Santa Monica and Manhattan
Beach. And, of course, don't forget Anaheim, where Disneyland
is located. If you're visiting Los Angeles for your next
vacation, it's best if you stay in one of the cities to get
more fun out of your trip.

Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is known for celebrities and remarkable mansions
where the rich and famous reside. Beverly Hills also offers
amazing shopping and beautiful hotels which cater to stars. The
year-round sunshine and incredible homes make this part of Los
Angeles a wonderful place to stay.

West Hollywood

Home of the world-famous Sunset Strip, West Hollywood is a
unique cultural center that's close to the other parts of L.A.,
too. The Sunset Strip offers dining, shopping and nightlife that
are legendary. West Hollywood has also a thriving art and design
community, featuring over 30 art galleries, 200-plus design
showrooms and the Pacific Design Center.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is probably one of the most beautiful areas around
Los Angeles, boasting an astounding beachside location, great
night life and plenty of celebrities frequenting the area's
restaurants and bars. At night, visit the many bars or clubs –
remember, however, that parking can be difficult. To avoid
problems with finding parking, take a taxi or a limousine.
You should never be afraid of taking limousines for
transportation because, contrary towhat you might think,
thay're not expensive in Los Angeles. Limousine companies in
L.A. usually charge per hour. If you want to get the best
prices, check with a couple of limousine companies for their
rates. And if you book your limousine a couple of days in
advance you may be able to get a good rate.

Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach is 3 miles from Los Angeles International
Airport, on the south end of Santa Monica Bay. The beautiful
928-foot pier at the end of Manhattan Beach Boulevard offers
year-round fishing. The pier also has an aquarium and marine
studies lab, free to the public.

Anaheim

If you're traveling with your family, visit Anaheim, about an
hour south of Los Angeles. Here you will find Disneyland, the
jewel in Disney’s Southern California crown. This is a great
place to bring your family to spend the day with the Disney
characters and riding classic rides like Space Mountain. And
don’t forget to watch the parade and fireworks display at
night.

About The Author: Jeff Linaker has an interest in Travel &
Holidays related topics.
